- Les Sablés d'Asnelles boutique and tea room - 2 Pl. Alexander Stanier in Asnelles: Chocolate tarts, salted butter caramel based on the recipe for the famous Asnelles shortbreads. Incredible and natural homemade.

- Jean-François Brunet butcher shop in Crépon: For good quality beef (It’s a butcher’s daughter talking to you!) - Poissonnerie Maison Daubert - Rue Léo Gariepy in Courseulles-sur-Mer: Excellent fishmonger, offers many dishes prepared with fish and shellfish: delicious and nothing to prepare. - Marc Vivier Oyster Fishmonger – OYY PARK Chem. des Roquettes in Meuvaines: You can buy excellent Meuvaines oysters there but also house-smoked trout and salmon steaks. To cut into sashimi with a salad, children love it! Nothing to do / good value for money. - La Ferme de Billy - 29 bis, 31 Rue de l'Église in Rots - 02 31 26 28 53: Either for brunch (to be reserved well in advance) or to go and taste and buy different types of ciders including Le Bris de Canadian-style ice cream, Calvados and Pommeaux. Excellent products and diversity of flavors. - Glaces de la Haizerie - La Fosse in Vaux-sur-Aure - 02 31 92 46 44: The best ice creams, EVER! Made in house, their flavors are extraordinary.... This farm supplies the best restaurants in the area. You can taste them on site and buy jars to store them in your freezers. Avoid Sunday afternoon: very busy.

Nature
- Velomaritime from Arromanches to Port en Bessin (20 km of dazzling path)
Start at Cap Manvieux located 20 minutes from the Château which is an extraordinary viewpoint: you are on the other side of Arromanches on the cliff at Tracy sur Mer. This place deserted by tourists is magnificent. You can go down towards Arromanches or walk in the opposite direction towards Longues sur Mer via the customs officers' path. The walk along the edge of the cliff goes to Port en Bessin. You can walk there or cycle there.

intimate, inspiring, soothing. Be careful with very limited visiting days and times!
